Crowder is the stage name of David Wallace Crowder, an American Christian musician, singer, and songwriter. He was born on November 29, 1971, in Texarkana, Texas, United States. Crowder is best known as the lead vocalist and instrumentalist for the David Crowder Band, a Christian contemporary worship band.
Following the disbandment of David Crowder Band, the musician launched a solo career under the name Crowder. As a solo artist, he continued to create music with a similar blend of genres, incorporating elements of folk, bluegrass, and electronic music into his songs. Throughout his career, Crowder’s music has been characterized by his heartfelt lyrics, energetic performances, and innovative musical arrangements. About David Crowder Band
The David Crowder Band was formed in 1996 while Crowder was attending Baylor University in Waco, Texas. The band gained popularity in the Christian music scene with their unique blend of rock, folk, and electronic music. They released several successful albums, including “Can You Hear Us?” (2002), “Illuminate” (2003), and “A Collision” (2005).
In 2012, after more than a decade of success with the David Crowder Band, the group announced their plans to disband. Following the band’s disbandment, David Crowder launched a solo career under the name Crowder.
